![]() ![]() If you cursor over the top of the flight yoke in the Cessna 172, a message box will pop up telling you to click in that area to release the brake. In one of the other planes I've "flown," (I forget which one) the parking-brake release is a lever in a floor console that looks a bit like an automatic transmission lever in a car. ![]() 172, it's a vertical lever immediately below the yoke in the Beech Bonanza, the parking brake release is to the lower right of the yoke-it has a flat handle on the end of a cable. This is what the default V (max) and B (reg) keys are set up to do. In the Cessna 152, the parking brake is the round knob at the lower-left of the control console, slightly hidden by the yoke in the C. This 'general brake' also doubles as the parking brake, if used in the 'toggle' mode. I use TrackIR and so I search by for whatever looks like/is labeled as a parking brake by looking down, and if necessary, over my Logitech yoke-as if I were in an actual cockpit-while cursoring over the panels and knobs until I find the a brake release gizmo and then clicking on it, which works. In order to fix this issue, open x plane then go to settings>joystick>click the brake setting you currently have set> then change it to toggle brakes regular effort and click select. I suppose I'm doing something wrong, but I have no idea what. I have been experiencing this same problem with the braking issues on the A350 by Flight Factor. I've tried pressing the num key then the del key pressing the num key again in case numlock was turned off, and then pressing the del key again and I've tried pressing them both together, with no luck in each case. 'M' Key - M ax Braking Action only while Key Depressed. I have a Num Del key, and I've tried using it to release parking brakes, with no success whatsoever. My Brake Mapping Technique (not procedure): 'B' Key Normal Brakes Toggle On/Off (Acts like Parking Brake) 'N' Key N ormal Braking Action only while Key Depressed. 11.49.1 G92.x: Reset Coordinate System Offsets (CNC specific). I need a workaround or MSFS 2020 is useless. Note that the key date is appearance here, not date of implementation. Some flight simulation models does have and call it "intelligent parking brake".My problem is that I do not have a Num Del key and therefore I cannot control the Brakes and the Parking Brakes. I need a workaround or MSFS 2020 is useless. My problem is that I do not have a Num Del key and therefore I cannot control the Brakes and the Parking Brakes. This was not the case in FSX, Prepar3D, (X-Plane), using a button as a brake would apply smooth progressive braking not go from 0 to 100 brakes. I recently installed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on my Dell laptop with a Thrustmaster Airbus Joystick attached. Thank you very much troopie I had tried that earlier and had that mapped to a joystick key but it didn't work right. When I press the brake button nothing happens for a 1 or 2 seconds and then the brakes will fully engage which often causes the aircraft to come to complete stop. ![]() The intent is to reflect the brake behaviour of most real-world aircraft. A modern Airbus does not have automatic release. The correct command is 'Toggle brakes max effort'. That is why I did not notice that there has to be brake pressure coming from the pedals. I have successfully got the rudder working by selecting 'yaw'. Toe brakes - I have MFG crosswind pedals. I did not know that the A300 automatically releases the parking brake when braking with the pedals. Parking Brakes - I do not see an option what is the command I need to select to turn on/ off the parking brakes 2. ![]() But the problem why I could not set the parking brake was the brake pressure coming from the pedals. Perhaps a custom curve does.Īdditionally I misinterpreted the set position of the parking brake handle so the parking brake was NOT activated, different to what I wrote in the first thread. Even if the pedals are fully released there is so much brake power that the plane does not move even on full thrust. At some point this may be corrected, but the important thing. This is as of Xplane 11.51 and Zibo 3.45.5. By the way in X-Plane there are only brakes, left and right. If the hold functions are staying active after the button is released that is another bug. Toggle Brakes Regular (b) and Toggle Brakes Maxim (v) set the parking brakes. Once you turn on the aircraft and hydraulics are live (not sure if you need APU or if just ground power is sufficient), the speedbrakes will exhibit the correct behavior. No, a hold button is only operational as long as the button is held. I assigned the toe brakes to them but there seems to be an issue with the end points. This appears to be a bug either in zibo or just the way xplane works. The problem obviously is the calibration of the T.Flight Rudder Pedals (Thrustmaster). First of all, the problem seems to be fixed. ![]()
